When kids are unable to concentrate or focus, they are teased by their peers and admonished by the elders. In the current century, it is often called ADD or ADHD. While these disorders cannot be refuted altogether, maybe some of them can improve if they were taught how to concentrate. Most people cannot concentrate because they don’t practice concentration. You can only become good at something with training and practice. For instance, if you want to become a ballet dancer, or a football player, it involves practice. Similarly, even concentration needs practice – build your will power, meditate and be mindful every day.
Then again, if you practice distraction, that’s what you will get – distraction. Unfortunately, most of us are distracted and it becomes a habit. Instead, if we were to learn how to concentrate, then we would be masters – masters of our own minds.
